Take a peek inside the fascinating world of hummingbirds with Dr. Lisa Tell, professor of veterinary medicine at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and director of the university’s hummingbird program. Dr. Tell is one of Lindsay Wildlife’s Conservation Icons and will be at Lindsay 6 p.m., Feb. 8, 2020 to speak about these colorful pollinators.

In addition to her work as an educator, Dr. Tell oversees four banding stations in California that play a critical role in monitoring hummingbird health and populations. Her research includes studies of insecticide exposure in hummingbirds, human impacts on hummingbird feeding, and hummingbird mortality trends. Come learn more about these tiny avians.

Dr. Tell is one of eight speakers in Lindsay’s 2019-2020 Conservation Icons speaker series. Now in its third year, the series aims to educate, entertain, inspire change and foster respect for the planet we share.
