Finding Fossils

Workshop: Adult

Join the Lindsay Wildlife’s Collection Team as we explore how ants help paleontologist survey for fossils. Participants will get a behind the scenes glimpse into the art of finding fossils hidden below the surface. We’ll look at matrix under microscopes to discover microfossils hidden below, and learn basic ID for marine microfossils — some of which can be found locally. Any specimens found by participants in their matrix can be brought home. 

Details: This is an adult workshop, but ages 12 and up are welcome to join. All materials will be provided.
