One-hour workshop: Ages 8-12

Have you ever wondered what hides beneath the fluffy facade of an owl? How an owl’s favorite prey such as rodents? In this workshop, kids will meet a live bird of prey and make observations about their anatomical adaptations. They’ll also observe the skeleton of the creature they meet and learn how their bones support them. Class participants will also see natural history specimens of the owl’s favorite prey and dissect an owl pellet to find the bones of the prey species an owl chowed down on.

Date: Monday, May 9, 2022 from 4- 5 p.m.

Fee: $30 members / $35 non-members
