Enjoy brunch among the owls, squirrels, and urban creatures on exhibit at Lindsay Wildlife followed by a presentation by wildlife activist Sam Labudde. Lindsay Wildlife Alliance coordinates a world-renowned speaker for their spring fundraiser annually. And this year the group, that raises money specifically for Lindsay, is partnering with Lindsay’s Conservation Icons speaker series for one of their most fascinating speakers ever!

Labudde is the 1991 EIA Goldman Environmental Prize winner, and the orchestrator behind one of the most successful consumer boycotts in history after he video-taped large-scale dolphin slaughter by tuna fisherman. The boycott forced tuna brands to accept only dolphin-safe fish in the 1990s.

Labudde, a biologist, has worked extensively in preserving wildlife and endangered species. His worked has resulted in banning of the use of drift-nets as a fishing method, stopping illegal walrus ivory trade, and illegal trade of rhinoceros horn and tiger bone. Come learn from this fascinating speaker!
