The Crow & the Earthquake: Story Time at Lindsay!
Join Lindsay Wildlife at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, for a very special story time with the authors of The Crow and the Earthquake. Join crow on another adventure in the California Oak Woodlands. A normal day turns into a super extraordinary one in this fascinating story by local authors Wanda Bishop and Merci Martin.
“The Crow and the Earthquake addresses a natural phenomenon rarely discussed in children’s literature. The setting is Mount Diablo; the cast of characters, the wild creatures inhabiting its slopes. A sudden shaking of the ground is greeted with trepidation and curiosity by the animals. Each comes forth with a speculative explanation for what they’ve experienced. The theories are as wild as they are varied. Finally, the authors reveal the true cause of the temblor. This book is as informative as it is entertaining.” —Peter White, author of The Farallon Islands, Sentinels of The Golden Gate
In addition to story time at Lindsay, there will be puppets, songs to sing and musical instruments! Authors Bishop and Martin, as well as the illustrator for the book, Jessica Scoles, will be at Lindsay on Sept. 22 to sign books and answer questions. Join us for this fun and educational morning! Copies of the book will be available for purchase in the Lindsay Store!
No registration required. FREE to members and included with the cost of admission for general admission.
