Go on a wildflower hike this spring with Lindsay Wildlife Experience. Explore the plant biodiversity on Mount Diablo. Our experienced instructors will guide you through this round-trip hike all about wildflowers.

Experience all the biodiversity of Mt. Diablo and enroll for the full series of all four and save.

Dates and times:

  • Middle Earth Trail: Sunday, March 6, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Globe Lily Trail: Sunday, March 20, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Curry Point: Sunday, March 27, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Juniper Trail: Sunday, April 3, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Full Series: Sundays, March 6, 20, 27; April 3.
  • Curry Point 2: Sunday, April 10, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

BRING hiking shoes, bottled water, and a face mask is strongly encouraged. 

Price per person: $20 for members/$25 for non-members.

Full Series Price:$90 Non-members / $70 Members

Additional cost: Parking costs will vary based on each hike,  information will be sent upon booking confirmation.

  • Wildflower Hike: Middle Earth Trail March 6th
    Come hike around a less travelled trail. See Donner Canyon and some beautiful wildflowers both out in the fields and hidden away in the nooks and crannies of the mountain. Moderate (4 miles round trip)

  • Wildflower Hike: Globe Lily Trail March 20th
    A nice stroll along Mitchell Canyon and then up along the globe lily trail, we will keep our eyes open for the beautiful yellow Mitchell Canyon globe lily as we enjoy the numerous wildflower species along this trail. This hike is very easy with little uphill hiking. Easy (2 miles round trip)

  • Wildflower Hike: Curry Point March 27th
    Come see the springtime poppies on this rolling, fairly easy hike. We will see a lot of our state flower on the rolling hillsides before we hike along a ridgeback to the drier side of the mountain. Low intensity hills, wide flat trail and lots of panoramic views. Easy (4 miles round trip)

  • Wildflower Hike: Juniper Trail April 3rd
    We will start our hike at Juniper Campground and make our way toward the summit. We will hopefully see some of the rare Mitchell Canyon globe lily and many higher elevation species like the feathery and beautiful mountain mahogany. Difficult (2.5 miles round trip)
