The annual Conservation Icons speaker series brings to Walnut Creek renowned thinkers, researchers, and leaders who inspire audiences to think differently about the natural world – and wildlife – around us.

Join us as we kick-off this series with a fascinating look at wolves 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11! California Department of Fish and Wildlife Wolf Specialist Kent Laudon will present on the re-introduction of gray wolves to California – Challenges, Controversy, and Conflict!

Then come learn all about this newly discovered wolf pack from a former wolf management specialist for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks for 11 years. Laudon documented that region’s population boom from 12 packs when he started to 64 at the population’s peak! What does it and will it take to have that kind of success in California?
