Lindsay Celebrates California Wildlife Day Wednesday March 20 With “DOLLAR DAY!”
SF Bay Area’s premiere wildlife and education center will be offering $1 admission in celebration of the third annual California Wildlife Day!
What: Come to Lindsay Wildlife for only $1 per person! Lindsay Wildlife Experience will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday March 20, and general admission will cost only $1 to allow children and adults alike access to education on California native wildlife!
In 2017, Lindsay celebrated the first ever California Wildlife Day after the state legislature passed the resolution. Every year on the spring equinox, California Wildlife Day is meant to honor, preserve, restore and celebrate the wondrous diversity of California wildlife.
Education about the state’s ecosystem, and how to protect wildlife, is at the core of Lindsay’s mission and has been for more than 60 years, which is why Lindsay will offer access to its animal ambassadors and exhibit hall during “Dollar Day” on March 20, 2018.
Lindsay will open at 10 a.m. and plans to offer specialized programs focused on state endangered species and those endemic to California. Come see our Bald Eagle and meet Lindsay’s porcupine!
There will be special California wildlife story time, crafts and games for children, and opportunities for adults and children alike to advocate for the protection of wildlife, as well as the environment. Exhibitors who will be at Lindsay include: Story time from Contra Costa County Library and Ruth Bancroft Garden and others!
