Experience Eye on Nature at Lindsay Wildlife

Eye_on_Nature_LogoJoin Lindsay Wildlife and students from around Contra Costa County and experience Eye on Nature, a student art exhibit opening Jan. 7 and running till Feb. 12. The show features local high school students’ reflections on various aspects of nature from animals, landscapes and flora to environmental concerns.

This art exhibit gives more than 50 local students from seven area high schools the chance to share their perspective on the natural worldand their perspectives are varied! From sculptures to paintings, the mediums and subjects are mixed and fascinating.

“This is Lindsay’s second annual high school art exhibit,” said Director of Education Melissa Strongman. “We wanted to invite high school art students to reflect on what they see and experience when looking at nature. Art is a natural way of how we respond when viewing the world around us.”

The exhibit encourages young artists to work their craft and have a place to exhibit their art, she said.
