National Wildlife Week at Lindsay!

Come to Lindsay from Wednesday, March 8 to Sunday, March 12 and celebrate National Wildlife Week! This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals, families, and kids to visit our animal ambassadors and to learn how to make a difference for wildlife in your own backyard!

In honor of native California wildlife, there will be daily activities and crafts centered on wildlife education, and visitors will have the opportunity to learn what you can do to help wildlife.

  • Join us on Saturday, March 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. downstairs in the Manzanita Room for a special reuse art activity! Representatives from Republic Services will be discussing recycling and sharing tips on how to minimize items you throw in the garbage. There will also be a Recycle Trivia Wheel!
  • Master Gardener Susan Heckly will be our featured guest at our Sunday speaker series, Nature Speak, on Sunday March 12 from 2-3 p.m. Heckly, a Lindsay alum, will discuss the ways people can encourage wildlife in their yards—such as providing food through the year, fresh water and housing opportunities. No pre-registration required. Members come for free. Included in the cost of general admission for non-members.
  • Our National Wildlife Week will culminate with a celebration on March 20 with: Lindsay Celebrates California Wildlife Day! Join us from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in honor of the first-ever state recognized holiday for wildlife!
