New art exhibit opens June 6, launching feline-themed summer programs

What: Spend the summer herding cats when Lindsay Wildlife Experience (LWE) presents Summer of Cats — Felines: Fierce and Friendly! The fun kicks-off June 6!

During The Summer of Cats, we are asking young visitors to take the “Purr-fect Pledge,” reinforcing our message to keep domestic cats inside to prevent injuries, disease and short life spans.

Children who wish to take the pledge will be a leader in their family in keeping the cat indoors. Children who visit Lindsay this summer can color a picture of a cat provided by Lindsay, and bring in a photo of their cat, and it will be hung up in the our Exhibit Hall. Every child who takes the pledge will leave with a “Cats Inside Bookmark.” Families are also welcome to post pictures of their cats to LWE’s Instagram page with the hashtag #lindsaysummerofcats or on our Facebook page.
