Hospital update–week of May 6

The hospital received 215 animals last week, bringing the total for this year to 1342.

Please remember this is the nesting season for so many of the wild animals that call our neighborhoods home. If it’s not an emergency, wait to trim trees until after September. While some nests are large and easy to see (squirrels), many are tiny and camouflaged (hummingbirds and small songbirds). Even if you think you don’t have nests in your tree, it’s far safer to wait to prune until the fall.
