Hospital update–week of October 7
The hospital received 53 animals last week, bringing the total to 5071 for this year.
One of the patients was a rattlesnake that was found tangled in garden netting. Unfortunately, it did not survive after being cut out of the netting. Now that it is time to put our summer gardens to bed, it is important to make sure you pick up any garden netting used in your yard. Snakes, lizards and birds can become entangled and die in the netting.
