Weekly hospital update—week of March 4
The hospital received 38 animals last week, bringing the total for this year to 336.
If you have a bird feeder in your yard, make sure you keep it clean. Several bird diseases, including mycoplasma (house finch eye disease), avian pox and salmonella, can be spread at feeders. Wash your feeder with soap and water, rinse thoroughly and soak in a 1:32 chlorine bleach solution for 10 minutes. Rinse and let dry before filling with new seed.
