Love for Lindsay Wildlife Campaign

The Love for Lindsay Wildlife Campaign is an ongoing fundraising effort to ensure the 65-year-old Lindsay Wildlife Experience continues its mission of connecting people with wildlife for generations  to come.

The Love for Lindsay Wildlife Campaign is a multifaceted fundraising effort that launched in March 2020 after the temporary closure of Lindsay’s Exhibit Hall due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This campaign aims to raise funds to support the care of Lindsay’s nearly 70 animal ambassadors and the more than 5,000 sick and injured animals that are brought by caring rescuers to our pioneering wildlife rehabilitation hospital each year.

In June 2020, through the generous support of our donors, we reached our initial $250,000 goal. This milestone allowed Lindsay to continue its mission through the first few months of the temporary closure. The second drive of the campaign seeks to raise $1 million by Dec. 30, 2020. Your donation will support Lindsay as we weather the ongoing pandemic by offering public outdoor and online programs and continuing to provide innovative, state-of-the-art care to our wildlife patients.

The current $1 million campaign includes the Shirley Nootbaar Challenge. We are asking donors to help us match Shirley’s generous $50,000 donation with a $50,000 donation of their own. We are hoping to raise $250,000 in this challenge. The campaign also includes four initiatives that will help Lindsay upgrade and expand its wildlife hospital, deliver programs outdoors and online, and help us become a more diverse, equitable and inclusive organization. Donations to the Love for Lindsay Wildlife campaign will help ensure that Lindsay continues to provide pioneering care for sick and injured California native species and other wild animals. Thank you for supporting Lindsay Wildlife Experience.
