Have a Wild Winter Break at Lindsay Wildlife Experience

SF’s Premier Bay Area Wildlife Education Center Offers Children Workshops during School Break

WALNUT CREEK, CALIF.—December 8, 2015—Sign-up now for animal workshops offered during the holiday school break. These fun workshops entertain and teach children during their holiday break from school— and there are still spaces left! And don’t miss out on special Critter Crafts and Story Times offered at Lindsay during the end of December.

Only Owls Workshop

On Tuesday Dec. 29 delve into the magical world of owls and become an owl expert! From our barn owl to our great gray owl come discover what makes them so special. Workshops for 4-6 year-olds and 7-10 year-olds from 10 a.m. to noon. Cost: $24-members and $30 for non-members.

Junior Keeper Workshop

Does your son or daughter dream of working with animals? Then this Animal Keeper Workshop is perfect! Junior keepers will get an opportunity behind the scenes access with Lindsay’s amazing animal keepers, help prepare food for the animals, and learn how keepers train and care for Lindsay’s animal ambassadors. This workshop is held 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 30, for kids ages 8-13 years-old. Cost is $35 for members and $45 for non-members.

Wild Winter Break At Lindsay!

Bring your child to Lindsay in December and enjoy a Wild Winter Break! From story time to crafts, Lindsay offers families fun activities that will keep you learning and entertained! These family events are included with the price of admission and, as always, free for Lindsay Wildlife Members!

  • 10:30 a.m. in the Buckeye Room Dec. 21, 22 and 23 get a chance to meet the artist of Handsome Bill our current art exhibit, which tells a story of a desert mouse on a grand adventure. Artist Carol Dwinell will be at Lindsay to share the story of Bill with children and then lead a drawing class!
  • 10:30 a.m. in the Buckeye Room Dec. 28, 29 and 30 enjoy various storytellers, books crafts all centering on the wild winter!
  • 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 21, 22, 23, 28,29 and 30 stop by our Bay Laurel classroom on Lindsay’s first floor and enjoy family fun with Critter Crafts! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission is free for members and children under 2 years old, $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors 65+ and $6.50 for children 2 -17.
