In these private experiences for small groups, you will get up close and personal with a selection of our animal ambassadors as they help us answer these and other questions. VIPeek programs are available  Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. 

Please register at least two weeks before your chosen date.

Please note that masks and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for guests are not required but masks are strongly encouraged. Click here for more information.

In-Person Programs

In-person programs are limited to 10 people maximum. An additional 10 people can be added (a maximum of 20 people total) for a price of $15 per person. Prices are per group and includes regular admission to the exhibit hall.

Ever heard the classic tale of the tortoise and the hare? In this private program, discover how animals have different adaptations for different purposes and how not everyone needs speed to be successful in the wild. (Recommended for ages 3-8)

If danger is your middle name, this is the program for you. Learn why some potentially dangerous animals are actually very important to people, and how the most dangerous animal in California may not be what you think it is.

Some animals have scales, and some have fur. Some animals have hundreds of legs, and others have none. If you’ve ever wondered why animals look so different, then this program is for you! Meet two animal ambassadors and learn how their different bodies help them survive.
