Dyann Blaine

“My involvement with Lindsay helps bring balance to my life.  When I am working with patients in the hospital my focus and attention is 100% on their well-being, and the stress of my desk job disappears.  When members of the public bring in injured or orphaned animals I am able to educate them on small changes that they can make to help protect our native wildlife, and am looking forward to making a bigger impact through my expanded role as a member of the board.”

Dyann has been practicing corporate and tax law for 30 years most recently with Pattern Energy Group Inc, an independent renewable energy company based on San Francisco.  Dyann has extensive experience managing board activities in both the public company and private company environment, and is excited to be able to use some of her knowledge of corporate governance, labor matters, and corporate transactions and compliance to benefit an organization that she has been passionate about for mote than 20 years. After first coming to a volunteer orientation program in 1999, Dyann felt drawn to helping injured wildlife and started volunteering in the hospital right away.  She enjoys both in-hospital volunteering as well as raising baby owls and raptors in specialized facilities at her home in Orinda.  Dyann received her JD and MBA from Santa Clara University in 1989 and 1990 respectively.
