Membership FAQ

General Questions

Can I receive a refund on my membership?

No, membership purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.

How do I receive my guest passes?

If you bought your membership in person, you should have received your two guest passes at the time of purchase. For anybody who joined/renewed online and requested a physical card, your guest passes should have been mailed to you with your physical card. For those that did not request a physical card, please pick up your guest passes at guest experiences when you check in for your next visit.

Can I change the name on my membership card before I renew?

Yes! Just send an email to membership@lindsaywildlife.org with the full name of the person you would like to take off of the card and the full name of the new person you would like to add. Please note, you only get one change per membership cycle. Any additional changes must be approved by the Membership Department.

Can I have the third person on my Member Plus/Friends membership be unnamed?

We do require for the third member to be a named person so that we can correctly confirm that they are on the membership with their ID when they come in to visit. If you have a nanny that changes every so often, we can always change the name of the nanny on your membership. Just email membership@lindsaywildlife.org with the new name of who you want to be your third member. As noted above, we do typically only allow one change per year but additional changes can be approved if needed.

Can my children use my membership for free admission if they are visiting Lindsay Wildlife Experience with an adult who is not one of the named cardholders?

No. We do not consider children themselves to be members and thus there needs to be a named cardholder present for your children to receive free admission into the museum.

What is the difference between a Family membership and a Grandparents membership?

While a Family membership grants admission to all children under 18 who live in the same household under the named cardholders, our Grandparents membership allows admission for Grandparents to bring in their grandchildren under 18 who may not live in the same household.

Can I visit other museums and get a discount with my Lindsay Wildlife Experience membership?

Yes! All members become a part of the ASTC passport program when signing up with us. With ASTC, you can gain access to free or discounted admission to local and other attractions all over the country. Member Plus and Friends Members gain access to two additional reciprocal programs, ROAM and ACM. The ACM program allows you to gain 50% off of admission to popular attractions such as the Bay Area Discovery Museum. ROAM allows admission for up to 2 guests

How can I receive my discount on passes, classes, and events?

When registering for the event on the website, there will be two options, “member” and  “non-member.” Add the member option to your cart and during checkout, you will be asked to provide your member number. For birthday party discounts, you will be asked to provide a member number during the time of booking.

How can I change the mailing or email address associated with my membership?

Just send an email to membership@lindsaywildlife.org with the information you would like updated and we can easily do that for you.

I didn’t receive confirmation from my purchase online, how can I get access to that?

Oftentimes, confirmation emails do end up in the spam folder so make sure you check there first. Otherwise, just send an email to membership@lindsaywildlife.org with your name and the date you believe you purchased your membership and we will forward that over to you.

Renewal Questions

Can I upgrade my membership before my expiration date is up?

Yes, members can upgrade their memberships on-site only. The upgrade fee is the full price difference between the membership levels and is currently set at $30. Upgrade fees are not pro-rated and you do keep your same expiration month. For example, if your Family membership expires on 9/30/2025 and you upgrade on 1/9/2025, your expiration would still be 9/30/2025.

If I renew my membership early, when will the new expiration date be?

There is no penalty for renewing early, so when you renew, your membership will extend 12 calendar months from your original expiration date. For example if your membership expires on 12/31/2025 and you renew on 10/4/2025, your new expiration date would be 12/31/2026.

Physical & Digital Card Questions

I didn’t receive my card, how can I request a new one?

Just send an email to membership@lindsaywildlife.org with your full name and we will send you a new one ASAP.

How long will it take to receive my card after I’ve signed up?

Physical membership cards typically arrive around two weeks after you’ve purchased your membership in the mail. Digital membership cards should arrive within 7-10 business days of signing up. Please note, processing times may take longer during membership sales and promotions.

I forgot my card at home, will I still be able to enter the museum?

Yes! We can look up your membership with your full name, just ensure that you have your ID with you.

How do I install my digital card on my phone?

You will receive an email from Cuseum with a link to your digital membership card. Click on the box at the bottom that says “Download Membership Card” and it will bring you to a page where you can see your card and add it to your Apple or Android wallet. If you did not receive a link to your digital card, please email membership@lindsaywildlife.org and we will send it to you.

The digital card that’s installed on my phone still has my old expiration date even after I renewed it. How can I get it to update?

Cards are supposed to automatically renew so if you do see an old expiration date, please email membership@lindsaywildlife.org so that we can send you a link to redownload the card with your updated expiration date.
