Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula
Some find them creepy, others find them cool. Harriet is Lindsay’s resident Chilean rose hair tarantula. She came to us as a pet. The “hair” on a tarantula are sensitive to air movements and help them to hunt at night. Other hairs on the legs are even used by the tarantula to “taste” its environment, similar to how the tongue of a snake allows it to taste its environment.
Harriet hopes you will adopt her!
