Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula

TarantulaSome find them creepy, others find them cool. Harriet, Rose, and Tula are Lindsay’s resident Chilean rose hair tarantulas. They came to us as pets. The “hair” on a tarantula are sensitive to air movements and help them to hunt at night.  Other hairs on the legs are even used by the tarantula to “taste” its environment, similar to how the tongue of a snake allows it to taste its environment.

Harriet, Rose, and Tula are three furry friends who hope you will adopt them!
