Full Moon Eclipse Hike

Ages: 6 years old – Adult

Discover a different side of Mount Diablo while experiencing a near-total lunar eclipse! Led by one of our experienced naturalists, participants will explore the nocturnal grasslands of Mount Diablo’s northern slope as the moon overhead is bathed in the reddish glow of all the earth’s sunsets simultaneously. This is a mild-to-moderate hike covering approximately 2 miles.

Date and time: Thursday, August 27th, 7:15 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. – SOLD OUT

Bring: Hiking shoes, a bottle of water, and a jacket.

Price per person: $20 for members/$25 for non-members.

Additional cost: $6 parking at the Visitor’s Center.

Please Note: Pre-registration for this hike is required. Registration closes Tuesday, August 25th. We do not offer day-of ticket sales for hikes.
