Redwood Hike: Journey to the Ladybug Grove

Ages: 6 years old – Adult

Discover one of the East Bay’s hidden natural treasures. Journey through the largest remaining redwood grove in the East Bay hills to one of the Bay Area’s most remarkable lady beetle overwintering sites. Along the way, explore towering redwoods, search the creek for wildlife, and uncover the local story of rainbow trout.

Designed for adults and families with children ages 6 and up, this guided hike offers a chance to slow down, explore close to home, and discover the wildlife and natural history of the East Bay.

Dates and times:

• Saturday, November 21st, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
• Sunday, November 22nd, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
• Saturday, December 5th, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
• Sunday December 6th, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Bring: Hiking shoes, a bottle of water, and a jacket.

Price per person: $20 for members/$25 for non-members.

Location Details: This hike will take place in Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park, meeting at the trailhead in the Canyon Meadow Staging Area parking lot.

Please Note: Pre-registration for this hike is required. Registration closes the Wednesday before the hike date. At this time, we do not offer day-of ticket sales.
