Paleoart – Reconstructing the Past
Workshop: Ages 12 +
Ever wonder how artists create what dinosaurs, mammoths, and other fossil creatures look like? Paleoart connects the present with the past, bringing life back to animals and plants long extinct. Learn how artistic reconstruction of what prehistoric animals looked like is done. Then try your hand at re-creating an animal using a skeleton from the museum’s Natural History Collection. All drawing skill levels are welcome.
This is an adult workshop, but ages 12 and up are welcome to join. Bring your favorite sketchbook or use the paper and drawing utensils provided.
Date: Saturday, November 12 from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Fee: $30 member/ $35 non-member
