Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar Hosts Major Fundraiser for Premiere SF Bay Area Wildlife Center

WALNUT CREEK, CALIF. /July 26, 2019—Bid on a chance to name a new Lindsay Wildlife animal ambassador, sip fine wine and meet Lindsay’s new Executive Director Dr. Carlos de la Rosa at Lindsay’s premiere fall fundraiser An Evening at the Bistro! Join Lindsay Sept. 22 at Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar in downtown Walnut Creek.

For 10 years, this WILD event has offered exciting auctions that raise money for Lindsay’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital and education programs. It also gives people the opportunity to get up close and personal with wildlife, including some of Lindsay’s iconic Animal Ambassadors, and guest raptors from Diablo Creek Falcons.

What:    Lindsay’s generous hosts and premier sponsors, Nan and John Walz and the partners of Va de Vi, offer a delightful night filled with fine food, fine wine, fine company—and, of course, animals! Get face to face with an owl (and perhaps even help feed one), or put on a glove and hold a  bird brought to the event by Lindsay’s falconry partners. Then stroll the magnificent courtyard at Va de Vi while you take the opportunity to bid on unique items up for auction.  This is also the first chance to meet Lindsay’s new executive director, Dr. Carlos de la Rosa, a conservation scientist who was hired this summer to lead the nearly 65-year old wildlife institution.

Where: Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar, 1511 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Walnut Creek, CA 94596

When:  Sunday, September 22 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Cost: $125 per person before Aug. 5. After Aug. 5, tickets start at $150 per person. Purchase tickets at:  lindsaywildlife.org/vadevi
