Homecare Volunteers Wanted
Each year, our wildlife rehabilitation hospital treats over 5,000 sick, injured and orphaned animals.
A critical part of this care happens in the homes of our volunteers. After patients are treated in our hospital, homecare volunteers donate their time caring for these animals in their homes until they are ready to return to the wild. Homecare volunteers are a vital part of our organization and help us carry out our mission of connecting people with wildlife to inspire responsibility and respect for the world we share. We could not do our work without them.
With the arrival of baby animal season, Lindsay Wildlife Experience is in urgent need of homecare volunteers to care for all the various species of California native wildlife we receive in our hospital. It’s a demanding but infinitely rewarding opportunity to help our wild neighbors.
Interested? We will train you how to care for animals and ensure they do not become habituated to humans. We will also provide you with equipment and food, and give prompt support. Please click here to learn how to become a homecare volunteer.
