Conservation Icons: Dr. Walt Koenig, Acorn Woodpeckers
Come learn from the acorn woodpecker expert: Dr. Walt Koenig! Walter D. Koenig is a visiting scientist with Cornell Lab of Ornithology and senior scientist, Department of Neurobiology and Behavior at Cornell University. He will be at Lindsay Wildlife 6 p.m., Saturday Feb. 10 as part of Lindsay Wildlife’s speaker series Conservation Icons.
Koenig will discuss all things woodpeckers! For 26 years, Koenig was a Hastings-based research zoologist with UC-Berkeley’s Museum of Vertebrate Zoology.
Koenig is one of nine awe-inspiring speakers that are part of the 2017-18 Conservation Icons series that aims to educate, entertain and inspire change!
