Canceled: May 2020 Conservation Icons: Richard Neidhardt

Saturday, May 9, 2020 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm , , , ,

Dive into the world of California Condors with condor tracker Richard Neidhardt, director and Pinnacles Condor Fund Chair at the Pinnacles National Park Foundation in Hollister. Neidhardt is one of Lindsay’s Conservation Icons and will be at Lindsay, 6 p.m. Saturday, May 9 for a lively discussion about these fascinating birds.

As a volunteer, Neidhardt is heavily involved in the ongoing efforts to bring California Condors back from the brink of extinction. These large, highly social scavengers became extinct in the wild in 1987, but have since been reintroduced thanks to successful captive breeding programs. Come hear all about these resilient, extraordinary birds.

Neidhardt is one of eight speakers in Lindsay’s 2019-2020 Conservation Icons speaker series. Now in its third year, the series aims to educate, entertain, inspire change and foster respect for the planet we share.
