Julie Clemens joined Lindsay Wildlife Experience in 2016 as a life-long animal lover. A resident of the East Bay for more than 25 years, Julie knew of Lindsay and its reputation in the community for wildlife education and rehabilitation.
At Lindsay, Julie has launched the Adopt An Animal program, brought back donor recognition programs, successfully hosted several annual fundraisers, including 2018’s Faces of Wildlife, which was held on Lindsay grounds for the first time ever! She has also worked to bring in new and lapsed donors to Lindsay, including oil giants such as Shell and Andeavor.
Prior to Lindsay, Julie worked at several private schools including Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward and as Chief Advancement Officer at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley.
Born into a family of naturalists in Northern California, she was raised with shared values for the protection and preservation of wildlife and the Earth.
Having spent the first segment of her career fundraising for schools, Julie is delighted to be working at Lindsay, where her passion for wildlife and education are synthesized.
