Summer Science Camp at Lindsay Wildlife Museum

SF Bay Area’s Premier Wildlife Rehabilitation and Nature Education Center

WALNUT CREEK, CALIF. —April 30, 2014— Lindsay Wildlife Museum announced today an exciting calendar of Summer Camp programs happening July 7—August 1, 2014. Children will enjoy new encounters with live animals, discover animal habitats and learn what it takes to care for wildlife from our animal keepers and veterinary staff. The camp uses Lindsay Wildlife Museum’s large community room, two private classrooms and adjacent Larkey Park. Camp shirts, snacks and drinks are included.

The Summer Camp Counselor program gives older children the opportunity to gain experience assisting campers in projects games and more.

Where: Lindsay Wildlife Museum, 1931 First Ave., Walnut Creek, adjacent to Larkey Park.

When: Week-long themed sessions run July 7—August 1, 2014

Session I: Bug Bonanza

July 7-11, Ages 4-6, 9-11:30 am

Fee: $160 (member $135)

Counselors: Age 12-17, 8:30 am- noon

Fee: $90 (member $75)

Session II: Animal Adaptations

July 14-18, Ages 6-9, 1-4:30 pm

Fee: $220 (member $185)

Counselors: Ages 12-17, 12:30- 5pm

Fee: $90 (member $75)

Session III: Amazing Animal Bodies

July 21-25, Ages 9-12, 1-4:30 pm

Fee: $220 (member $185)

Counselors: Ages 13-17, 12:30- 5pm

Fee: $90 (member $75)

Session IV: Animal Families

July 28-August 1, Ages 4-6, 1-3:30 pm

Fee: $160 (member $135)

Counselors: Ages 12-17, 12:30- 5 pm

Museum Hours & Admission

September 13–June 15: Wednesday–Friday 12 PM–5 PM, Saturday–Sunday 10 AM–5 PM

June 18, 2014–Labor Day: Wednesday–Sunday 10 AM–5 PM

Admission is free for members and children under 2 years old, $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors 65+ and $6.50 for children 2 -17.
