Sunrise Event at Lindsay Wildlife Experience!

Join Lindsay Wildlife Experience and the Mount Diablo Astronomical Society for a rare opportunity to view the morning Transit of Mercury! Mercury will move directly between the Earth and the Sun, and you can see it just outside of Lindsay Wildlife in Larkey Park—early (sunrise) 7 to 11:20 a.m. Monday May 9. Coffee and hot chocolate will be available.

Available at the viewing will be approved special filters and solar scopes to observe and view the dark disk of Mercury moving across the face of the Sun.

*This event can only be observed with PROPER SOLAR FILTERS on binoculars or telescopes.  DO NOT look at the Sun without commercial solar filters.
