April 2021 Conservation Icons: Dr. Darko Cotoras

Meet evolutionary biologist and California Academy of Sciences Entomology research associate Darko Cotoras as he talks with Lindsay Wildlife Executive Director Carlos de la Rosa at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 18 as part of our virtual Conservation Icons series.

Cotoras studies spiders and other invertebrates as part of his research into how biodiversity in isolated areas is shaped over time. Focusing on invertebrates from islands in the Pacific Ocean, he has done fieldwork in Hawaii, French Polynesia, the Great Barrier Reef, Rapa Nui and other locations.
