Newt Hikes in February

Winter rains bring out newts to ponds in the hills. Amazing naturalist Bob Love is your guide. Learn newt natural history and see frogs, lizards and early spring flowers. Our newt adventure is a gentle 2.5 mile hike to three different ponds in Briones Regional Park, Martinez. Bring water and snacks. Wear sturdy shoes and layers of clothes. Map and directions will be emailed after registration completed. Hike will not be cancelled due to weather (bring rain gear if needed). Four Saturday hikes are offered in February; please register for a specific date below.
