Saturday, February 20, 2016 9:30 am - 12:30 pm Age 6–Adult , , , , ,

Winter rains bring out newts to ponds in the hills. Amazing naturalist Bob Love is your guide. Learn newt natural history and see frogs, lizards, and early spring flowers. Our newt adventure is a gentle 2 ½ mile hike to three different ponds in Briones Regional Park, Martinez. Hike will not be cancelled due to weather (bring rain gear if needed). Bring water and snacks. Wear sturdy waterproof shoes and layers of clothes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Map and directions will be emailed with your registration details. Three Saturday hikes are offered in February and March; please register for a specific date below.
