A national touring art exhibit Felines: Fierce and Friendly! will open June 6 at Lindsay Wildlife Experience. With more than 30 paintings and sculptures by leading artists who specialize in the subject of cats, this exhibit will take more than one visit to appreciate. It is a sequel from the wildly popular 2003 nationally traveling art exhibit FELINE FINE II: ART OF CATS.

  • All Summer: Lindsay Wildlife is asking young visitors to take the “Purr-fect Pledge!” Lindsay wants to spread the message to keep domestic cats inside to prevent injuries, disease and short life spans. Children who wish to take the pledge can color a picture of a cat, or bring in a photo of their cat, and it will be hung up in the Lindsay Wildlife Experience Exhibit Hall.  Families are also welcome to post pictures of their cats Lindsay’s Facebook page.

Wild Cats at Lindsay Wildlife!

Get up-close to some of the world’s most amazing cats during “Wild Cats at Lindsay Wildlife” this summer! This exciting and unique event brings rare cats to Lindsay three days this summer! The last event will be held Aug. 22.

Barbara and Rob Dicely of Wild Cat Conservation and Education Fund (WCE&CF) are making this event possible by bringing their cat ambassadors to Lindsay.

The 9 a.m. Aug. 22 members-only Wild Cats show pre-registration has sold out. Come day-of to the event on Aug. 22 and get tickets for the noon show! It is first-come, first-serve.

The one-hour program begins at 9 a.m. before Lindsay opens to the general public. Members will get an exclusive look at an endangered Fishing Cat that the rest of the public will not see during the second program of the day at noon. These are wild animals. Lindsay can not guarantee that all of the advertised animals will be here on show day.

All other afternoon shows are open to the general public with paid admission at the door on the day of the event. There is limited space so arrive early because admission to the show is not guaranteed and tickets will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis.

It is recommended that children under two-years-old not attend because children and adults must sit still during the event. Due to limited space the event is free to members. Members must register online before the event, seats are not guaranteed. Any pre-registrations will be released 15 minutes before showtime.
