New Winter Mini Mondays at Walnut Creek’s Lindsay Wildlife Museum

Animal encounters, arts and crafts and fun in December and January


WALNUT CREEK, CALIF.—December 2, 2013—Lindsay Wildlife Museum (LWM),, is pleased to announce the next dates for the popular “Mini Mondays” at the museum.

What: On Monday, December 16 and Monday, January 27, children from 2-5 years old become naturalists as they experience live animal encounters. The two-hour program allows little ones to explore different animal species through arts, crafts, activities and more. Nut-free refreshments are provided. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Registration is not required.

Where: Lindsay Wildlife Museum, 1931 First Ave., Walnut Creek, adjacent to Larkey Park.


  • Monday, December 16 ; 10 a.m. – noon with Nature in Winter. How do animals stay warm and cozy?
  • Monday, January 27 ; 10 a.m. – noon with Home in the Dirt. What animals call the ground home and what are they up to in there?

Cost: $8/members, $15/non-members, $5 each additional child age 2 and older.

June 18, 2014–Labor Day: Wednesday–Sunday 10 AM–5 PM
Please note a special holiday hours:
Dec. 23 – January 5 Open 10 – 5 pm; Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve 10 – 2; Closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Admission is free for members and children under 2 years old, $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors 65+ and $6.50 for children 2 -17.
